Description
"Geschwister Bachmann, Stolz, Kretschmer, Adami & Br. Richter." ("Brother and Sister Bachmann, Stolz, Kretschmer, Adami & Br[other] Richter."). In the foreground a field with Agave sisalana, in the background a residential building with some additional buildings and ca. seven missionaries with their children.
Cf. photo no. 7703. -- Additional information on the second copy: "[...] im Vordergrund Sisalanpflanzungen" ("[...] in the foreground sisal plantations"). -- Adolf Ferdinand Stolz (1871-1917) was a mission trader of the Herrnhuter Brüdergemeine in Ipanya from 1898 to 1902 and in Kyimbila from 1903 to 1914. He was responsible for the plantations in Kyimbila and Rutenganio. In 1898 he married Helene Elisabeth, née Kootz (1872-1899), in 1903 Anna, née Schulze. -- Johannes Kretschmer (1867-unknown) was a missionary of the Herrnhuter Brüdergemeine. He served in Rungwe from November 1892 to 1894, in Rutenganio from 1894 to 1902 and from 1904 to May 1916. In 1894 he married Anna, née Wicke. -- Paul Gustav Adami (1880-1956) was a mission trader of the Herrnhuter Brüdergemeine. He served in Kyimbila from 1904 to 1908 as employee and from 1908 to 1915 as procurator and business manager. -- Johannes Richter (born 1886, year of death unknown) was a mission trader of the Herrnhuter Brüdergemeine together with Adolf Stolz in Kyimbila from 1908 to 1910.
