Tommy Volk, First Place winner Ricky Grigg, 17, Second Place winner Bob Hogan, 22, Third Place winner Ronnie Barker, 13, an eager fan. Caption slip reads: "Photographer: Gaze. Assignment: Ocean Paddleboard Race. 31-32: Entries in Pacific Coast Championship one-mile rough water paddleboard race from Santa Monica to Ocean Park as they approached first buoy marker with winner, Santa Monica Municipal Lifeguard Tommy Volk in lead. Volk's time: 13 minutes 42 seconds.
