Description
This is an exterior front view of the Western Trust and Savings Bank, located at 130 E. First Street. This image clearly shows the window lettering and the engraved bank name along the upper portion of the building. A large awning hangs over the main entrance, where the bank's name is also printed. The front of this building has elaborate and varied decorative features, including a faux roof balcony with corbels and four faux columns created in relief as part of the building. Above each of two other front doors on either side of the front facade, there is a small medieval style arched windows. The California Hotel next door is partly visible at far right in this photograph. At left in the image, the Brooks Hotel is also partly visible. DATE NOTES: Noted on image back. ORIG.
