A post-and-rail fence is visible in front of the unpaved road that cuts through the foreground, beyond which a one-story clapboard-sided house can be seen behind a picket fence and featuring a smaller, annexed building. The County Court House is visible in the bulk of the city which appears in the distance. A wider unpaved road is visible to the right, while mountains can be seen on the horizon.
