Description: Mabel Strickland, the queen of cowgirls, shown here on May 4, 1928, is entered in five different contests May 5 and 6 at the third annual Bakersfield Ranch Rodeo. She can ride broncos, steers, rope calfs and steers, and ride in the relay and pony races, as well as give exhibitions in trick riding.
