Description: “Evangelist Silas Mucina [Muchina].” Portrait of an evangelist wearing a suit. Silas Muchina trained as an evangelist at Tumutumu and worked the Chuka district for the Chogoria mission. From 1949 he worked full time with the Revival movement and continued to do so after his retirement in 1955. ❧ The image is from the collection of Dr Archibald Clive Irvine (1893-1974) showing the period from 1928-1961 at the Chogoria mission which was established in 1922.
