Description
Photograph of Mission Santa Barbara, showing front of church and towers, California, 1898. At right, a picket fence lines the dirt road beside the church. At center, a small flight of stairs can be seen leading to the front entrance. One of the decorative doors in the arched doorway is open while the other one remains closed. A small, circular window can be seen above the entrance, and three statues are visible near the top of the facade. Six columns surround the front entrance, and a bell tower can be seen on either side. At the top of the church, three crosses can be seen. At the extreme left, a horse-drawn wagon is visible near a row of large arches.
