Description
A member of Japan Logistical Command reads assignments out to a tightly packed group of soldiers at the 563rd Replacement Company, 6th Replacement Battalion barracks at Camp Drake in Japan. U.S. footholds in cities like Tokyo and Yokohama provided key strategic and logistical support during the Korean War. The Japanese Logistical Command, headquartered in Yokohama, coordinated the supply conduit of troops and equipment between San Francisco and Korea.
