Photograph caption dated November 27, 1963 reads, "That's what North Hollywood police officer Jeff Powell seems to be saying to a life-size model of a cow found spending the day Tuesday a quarter mile east of Coldwater Canyon Boulevard near the Ventura Freeway. Al Cunningham, 11240 Dilling St., North Hollywood, found the creature as he journeyed about the area property hunting. He directed Powell to the spot, and Powell hauled it off to jail. 'It looks like a Jersey to me,' said Powell. It's still at the jail today."
