Description
Photo caption printed in the Sacramento Bee on June 21, 1983 states: "One of the legacies of the Sacramento Valley's record 1982-83 rainfall has been the inundation of the three softball diamonds in Woodland's Dubach Park. The diamonds, said city Parks and Recreation Department spokeswoman Cindy Nofziger, aren't flooded in the everyday sense of the word. They are beneath the water table and are likely to stay that way all summer. The park is located in a "borrow pit" from which dirt was scooped for the construction of Interstate 5."
