Description
Because he bet on Landon and lost, George "Peanuts" Healy is pictured tied to a telephone pole in a lumber yard at 4701 Santa Fe Ave. while Jimmy Furmendo, fellow worker to whom he lost the bet, bombards him with eggs past the prime of life on November 3, 1936. This was one of the first payoffs in the many freak election bets.
