6 images. Sick sea elephant, 16 April 1952. "Sir Anton", 200 pound sick elephant D.E. McBride (Veterinarian), Hermosa Beach Doctor Thure Vilstrup (Veterinarian). Supplementary material reads: "Chernus -- Harbor. Captions. Sick Sea Elephant. Three negatives show D.E. McBride, veterinarian from the Hermosa Beach Aquarium, wetting down Sir Anton, the 200-pound, baby sea elephant aboard the Danish naval research ship, the Galathea, just before start of his long voyage to Denmark. One negative shows baby sea elephant in station wagon. On left is Einar Buch and on right is Dr. Thure Vilstrup, who will accompany the mammal from Burbank to Denmark. Two negatives show crew members bringing sea elephant off ship in net".
