Description
Note: "Balikönig Mfon Nyonga im Nat. Kostüm (sitzend)." (E-30-0,2) - Bildlegende zum Negativ: "Balikönig Fonyonga." (RI) - Hocker im Mittelgrund wahrscheinlich von Babanki Schnitzern, Pfosten Pati oder Babanki. (H. Knöpfli) - "King Fonyonga II seated in front of two carved pillars in the palace." (Ch. M. Geary, E-30-0,7 und E-30-0,8). (Geary, 1988:27).
Note translation: "Bali King Mfon Nyonga sitting in his national costume." (E-30-0,2). - Caption to the negative: "Bali King Fonyonga." (RI). - Stools in the middle probably from Babanki carvers, the carved posts Pati or Babanki (H. Knöpfli). - "King Fonyonga II is seated in front of two carved pillars in the palace." (C. M. Geary, E-30-0,7 and E-30-0,8) (1988:27). - Almost certainly taken during Lutz' visit to Bali Nyonga November 1905 - see document E-2.20a.385a dated May [sic] 1906.
