Description
Photograph of a view of the Santa Monica's Palisades cliffs looking north, ca.1905. The cliffs are at left and are steep and rocky. Wispy grass has managed to grow up the side of the cliffs about a quarter of the way in several places, but aside from this, the cliff faces are bare. The tops of the cliffs are lined with a low wooden fence, and the sharp curves of the cliffs force the fence to form shapes that resemble alcoves. There are many trees along the top of the cliff in the distance at right.
