"Die Mamreer Gäste d. K. K. fahren im Auto ab." ("The guests [of] t[he] c[hurch] c[onference] from Mamre leave by car."). The picture shows a large group of men, women and children. In the background, to the right and to the left buildings. Two big trees in the center left. Written on the card board: "Br. Baudert 1930." ("Br[other] Baudert 1930."). The picture was probably taken by Samuel Baudert (1879-1956), born as son of the missionary Samuel Baudert in South Africa. He was the mission director of the Herrnhuter Brüdergemeine from 1924 to 1927 and since 1929 their bishop. It might also be possible that the picture was taken by Eugen Theodor Baudert (1876-1953) who worked as a lecturer at the theological seminar in Mvenyane.
