Description
Photograph caption dated June 4, 1964 reads, "Bahia of Brazil (dark uniforms) and English Blackburn Rover soccer players charge after the ball Wednesday night during the first International Soccer League game ever played in Los Angeles. The teams battled to a 1-1 tie before 8,000 fans in the Coliseum. Rovers return to the Coliseum turf Sunday to play Werder Bremen of West Germany."
