Aerial view of North American Aviation, located at Vultee/Downey Field, in the city of Downey; view is looking east. Designed by architect Gordon Kaufman, the field is located north of Lakewood Boulevard and west of Imperial Highway. Identifiable streets are: Lakewood Boulevard (slightly horizontally at middle); Bellflower Boulevard (horizontally at upper center, behind the factory); Imperial Highway (middle right to top middle); Woodruff Avenue (horizontally at top); Alameda Street (diagonally, bottom left to center left); Mory Street (bottom middle, curving to middle center) and Donovan Street (bottom middle to middle right). Alameda Elementary School is visible at lower left edge. Photograph dated August 28, 1957.
