Description: "The Sacramento Municipal Utility District's major substation, under construction at Howe Avenue and Hurley Way, will be centered around this control building, designed by H. S. Curtaz of SMUD's engineering staff. The utility district's board last week awarded a $64,860 contract to Schmidt & Tufts Construction Company, Sacramento, to build the structure"
