Title transcribed from item. Signed on mount: "Frederick Monsen." Monsen's handwritten label on back says: "Walpi pueblo, First Mesa, Arizona. Looking down upon the town from the 5th story of the main cluster of buildings. The desert falls away into the distant Colorado River Plateau. The Painted Desert surrounds the great rock upon which the town is located."
