Description
Shown here is an interior view of a new products exhibit for two local businesses: The Gibson Bicycle Shop at Eighth and American Avenue (Long Beach Boulevard) and the Maytag Shop at 340 Fourth Street. A variety of products are shown, including Maytag washers and a Maytag Ironer. The Maytag proprietor is Arthur R. Burbee. A display board in the background shows the disassembled parts of a Maytag washer, and a poster stands next to a cut away model of the washer, which reads: "Look Inside; Part by Part Comparison." An additional sign reads, "Ask For A Free Trial Ironing." A woman is seated at the "Ironer" performing a demonstration. A Maytag washer is also being given away as a "Major Prize Maytag Washer - [unreadable] - Bucks Per Chance." DATE NOTES: Noted on image back. ORIG. IMAGE: 8" x 10" B&W glossy print. NEGATIVE: Yes.
