Description
Dark blue motorcycle with blue/orange, diagonally-striped fuel tank. Possibly 1905 model. Yale logo on the tank above the back wheel. No serial numbers visible on the motorcycle. Metal crest on front of bike reads: "The Kirk MFG Co. / YALE / Toledo OHIO U.S.A." (Yale pennant in the center of the crest). Stamped on metal bracket of back wheel: "New Departure Duplex / P & F Corbin, New Britain Conn. U.S.A". Single cylinder engine (tilted forward at about 45°). Transmission: pedal and belt drive, chain on right side of bike, no belt on left side. Diamond shaped frame. Tires: "U.S. Peerless Universal Clincher", back tire has double spoke/rim for belt transmission but no belt.
