Photograph caption dated November 21, 1964 reads "Burbank High halfback Wayne Martens is stopped cold by Burroughs' Corbett Brown and Fred Gabrourie. Burroughs whipped Burbank, 27-7, in the Burbank intra city contest. Burroughs lost last year to Burbank 14-7 and with this win recorded only its sixth win in the series which has been played since 1949."
