Typed letter from J.M. Croft, Constable of Kingsburg, California to the California State Personnel Board in Sacramento attesting to Tsugi Hamada's loyalty to America and hope that she will be allowed her to continue working at the State Personnel Board, February 12, 1942. James J. Kubo (b. 1916) was married to Tsugi Hamada (b. 1918) and opened an optometrist business in Sacramento in 1938. They had two sons, Ronald and Douglas, and a daughter, Beverly. He was incarcerated at Tule Lake Incarceration Camp until he left for Chicago and was drafted into the Military Intelligence Service (MIS). Mr. Kubo returned to Sacramento after completing his service at Fort Snelling, Minnesota.
