General scene in front of the Japanese Embassy in Washington, showing several police officers swinging their clubs upon the heads of the unlucky communists who attempted to stage a demonstration protesting against the Japanese aggression in China. -- Several rioters were injured and many of the officers had their uniforms torn and sufferred scratches about their faces. -- Forty arrests were made by the police.
