Interview with Janie Schoolcraft while taking a tour of her childhood home. Mrs. Schoolcraft discusses her memories and points out notable features of the home. The English Tudor style house was completed in 1931 for the Schoolcraft Family, who moved to Claremont from Pasadena. Janie's father, Charles Schoolcraft, was in the grocery business and moved to Southern California from New Hampshire. The impressive house utilized stones on the exterior facade taken from the citrus orchards, while its interior features a Philippine mahogany mantle, hand pegged floors, and beautiful paneling throughout.
