Description
A woman in an evening dress from 1835. The woman wears a pale pink dress with an off-the-shoulder, wide lace collar. The dress has short puffed sleeves and a fitted bodice. There are clusters of green grapes along the collar, the front of the bodice, around the edges of the sleeves, and in a column down the right side of her dress. The skirt is gathered up at the hem, exposing the white underskirt underneath. She wears short, white gloves with narrow ruffles, white shoes, and holds a white fan in her left hand. She wears a red bonnet with short lappets reaching just past her chin, with plumes of white feathers attached to the right side. Her hair is smoothly dressed and swept back.
