Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated May 4, 1949 reads, "Heirlooms that would make a collector turn green with envy today decorate the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Wilkins of 842 N. Rose St., Burbank. Among them are buttons and a buckle of sterling silver which belonged to George Washington and are marked with his initials. Also in the collection is a lamp made from a torch carried on the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad by a great-grandfather during the Civil War, as well as dishes stamped Jenny Lind and dated 1775. A clock with a cleaning date of 1850 from the Pennock plantation in Maryland, pewter ware of ancient vintage and handspun linens make up the rest of the collection." Pictured, Natalie Wilkins admires her parents' heirloom collection.
