Description
The spot in Placerita Canyon (Los Angeles County) where gold was first discovered in Southern California. "Under the tree gold was first found on the roots of wild onions." The ranch is owned by a Mrs. Lehigh and Frank Kiernan is caretaker. April 13, 1937.
