'Prospectors of tomorrow' Mike Stringer, 12, and Kris Buck, 10, from left, are eager for lesson. Activity is in preparation for third annual mock gold-panning contest at 2 p.m. Sunday at Placerita Park, three miles east of Newhall, off U.S. Highway Six.
