11 lines, written on recto along the fibers. Regular cursive. Margins: top, 4.5 cm.; left, 3.3 cm.; right, 1 cm.; bottom, 11 cm. On verso (along the fibers) address: to Menches. Official letter from Polemon, to his brother Menches, village secretary of Kerkeosiris, informing him that he sent a certain Harachthes as his substitute to a gathering of village scribes until he could come himself. He asks Menches to introduce Harachthes and to pay him every attention. The text is dated to the 4th year of Ptolemy IX Soter II, 12th of the Egyptian month Phamenoth (Mar. 30, 113 B.C.) In Greek.
