Description
Letter from Ernest Besig to Harrop A. Freeman, acknowledging his letter of April 14th, 1044, and confirming that Wayne Collins will argue the Korematsu case. Besig writes that Freeman's suggestion of lawyers might be of use in the Endo case, set for argument in the Ninth Circuit Court on May 16, 1944. Besig writes that the national office has been slow to advance more test cases on "the Japanese issues."
The ACLU-Northern California case file records contain legal documents and correspondence pertaining to the case argued before the Supreme Court in Korematsu v. United States (1944), challenging the constitutionality of Executive Order 9066.
