Description
Photograph article dated November 1, 1959 partially reads, "Pounding winds battered the San Fernando Valley for the second straight day today, downing power lines, snapping off tree limbs and sending up towering clouds of dust. The northeast blasts, with gusts up to 70 mph, chopped power lines in a Studio City neighborhood last night darkening the 11300 block of Sunshine Terrace." Photograph caption reads, "Wind downs patio roof - Robert E. Harden examines wreckage of his patio roof after tornadic wind ripped it from his home at 11032 Bessemer St., North Hollywood."
