Photograph caption dated September 12, 1962 reads, "Eugene Gelson, second from left, owner of Gelson's Markets, was honored Tuesday night at a dinner at the California Home for the Aged, Reseda. Directors of the home made a presentation to Gelson for his contributions on behalf of the needy aged. Hy Getzoff, chairman of the dinner; Gelson; Robert Silver, president, and Joe Taylor, benefactor president, from left, are shown after the presentation."
