Description
Photo belonging to Tosh Asano (#3). Multiracial Ivy Ave Junior High baseball team. Tosh writes "Champs 1936" in lower right corner and ball has "1936". Tosh Asano (1922-2017) was born at the Monrovia Hospital. He attended Santa Fe Elementary, Ivy Ave Junior High, and MAD High School, graduating in 1941. Asano was a natural athlete and played halfback on the B football team in high school. He lived his whole life in Monrovia, except for WW2 years at Heart Mountain camp and as member of Military Intelligence Service.
