Plaque which accompanies mural mni00017. 'Remembering Six Sons of the New Lodge. Jim Sloan, Jim McCann, Brendan Maguire, Tony TC Campbell, John Loughran, Ambrose Hardy. Murdered by British State Forces as part of the occupation of our country on the night of the 3rd and 4th February 1973'. Sloan, McCann and Campbell were IRA volunteers, Loughran, Maguire and Hardy were civilians; Campbell, Hardy, Loughran and Maguire were all shot dead by a British Army sniper on 3rd February 1973. Sloan and McCann were alleged to have been killed by a non-specific Loyalist group on the same date. Republican
