Description
Four families were left homeless when the boardinghouse they shared shifted off its foundation and partially collapsed. 10 adults and 3 children escaped with just the clothes on their backs and spent much of Christmas Eve in the rain waiting for assistance from the American Red Cross disaster relief. The cause of dislocation of the one-story wood-frame house was not immediately determined. Photograph dated December 24, 1988.
