Description
Canceled April 3, 1942. Refers to the mass removal ("evacuation") of persons of Japanese ancestry from the West Coast as directed by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, Executive Order 9066. Original lease describes agreement terms beginning July 1, 1940, ending June 30, 1943 for ten acres of the Rancho San Pedro tract with a yearly rent of $200. Handwritten payment records located at the bottom of the second page.
