Description
Photograph of Boy Scout Troop 41 members with two Kabuki performers. Three of the Scouts hold large sprays of flowers. From page 21 of Kubo pre-WWII photographs album (sac_kubo_0022).
James J. Kubo (b. 1916) was married to Tsugi Hamada (b. 1918) and opened an optometrist business in Sacramento in 1938. They had two sons, Ronald and Douglas, and a daughter, Beverly. He was incarcerated at Tule Lake Incarceration Camp until he left for Chicago and was drafted into the Military Intelligence Service (MIS). Mr. Kubo returned to Sacramento after completing his service at Fort Snelling, Minnesota.
