Description
Photograph of a biplane taking of from the deck of the USS Langley, [s.d.]. The aircraft carrier can be seen at left and is a flat-topped vessel that looks like a deck was simply placed on an existing hull. Several more biplanes can be seen on the deck of the Langley, also known as CV-1. The water around the ship is calm except for the small bow wake near center.
