Pilipino Veterans Day celebration in Historic Filipinotown (at Beverly & Loma, St. Columban Church), sponsored by the People's Community Organization for Reform and Empowerment (People's CORE) and the Office of Council Member Eric Garcetti District 13. Anthems, speech by Veteran, welcome by Mayor of Filipinotown, speech & awards by Eric Garcetti, Intertribal Veterans speech, Filipino American Service Group (FASGI) couple dancing -- Arnis/Eskrima demo (traditional martial arts with stick fighting) -- Balagtasan women - spoken word by Melanie, Christibelle, Vanessa Vela -- Religious poem recited by Pilipino veteran -- Anak Ng Bayan - Seattle-based spoken word/rap/hip-hop collective -- Johneric Concordia - solo song (reggae style) -- Another song by same Pilipino veteran -- Aling Pasig sings Filipino love song solo -- Dancing in the streets -- UCLA's Sayaw Ng Silangan dances Tinikling -- Bambu - hip hop performance and interview by Darnell Jones.
