Photograph caption dated April 28, 1965 reads "Valley State's Jerry Craven hustles back to first base in time to beat pickoff throw to Cal Poly first baseman. Valley State won the contest, 6-4, to gain a first place CCAA tie with Cal State (Long Beach)."
