Photograph caption reads: "Renegade, a Chihuahua in Los Angeles, barks at the television screen image of Manray, a dog of mixed breed, during a closed-circuit transmission from New York. The experiment was sponsored jointly by Pacific Telephone and the UCLA Arts Department, to see if the dogs would recognize and respond to each other. The New York dog, which had been involved in previous showed more enthusiasm".
