Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated September 9, 1961 partially reads, "George Young looks as if he just stepped from the campus of Van Nuys High School. He's 24 now, a husband, a father, and the field deputy of Los Angeles City Councilman Lemoine Blanchard. But George looks much the same as he did in 1955 when he was student body president at Van Nuys and a football letterman. The young look is deceptive, however. Behind it lie a sharp political brain and years of working in Republican and City Hall political circles." Field Deputy Young has no desk, only a chair, phone, paper and pencil as of now.
