Photograph caption dated April 27, 1963 reads, "KIIX's 'integrated' news team, Bob de Coy and Frank McDonald, bring news of the nation, the world, and the Negro community to Ch. 22 viewers nightly at 6:30 and 10 o'clock. Stations [sic] takes no editorial stand, presents both sides of questions." Photograph article partially reads, "Surprisingly, the station is run--at the executive level--by Calvin Young, president, and Jerry Glaser, vice president, two white men from Nashville, Tenn. Bill Sawyers, of Encino, also a Caucasian, is vice president and station manager. But 75 per cent of all the personnel are Negroes, as are virtually all the performers. The station's true image is propagated by Director of News and Information Bob de Coy, a Negro who possesses a master's degree from Yale. De Coy is a former college professor."
