Photograph caption dated November 29, 1955 reads "Members of Valley Junior Journal work on bare floor of their Granada Hills office. Staff of Valley youths, between 12 and 18, started two years ago as in old poem about creation 'without board or nail or screw, or anything to nail it to.' Today, they own office, 1910 typewriter and small pine bench."
