Photograph caption reads: "John "Running Horse" McKee demonstrates his father's .45 to his little granddaughter, Jonna Jean McKee. Pet ranch dog Meg takes no interest in the proceedings. Four generations of guns are included in photo. Civil War rifle owned by McKee's grandfather, WW2 carbine brought back by son, .45's owned by father and McKee's .30-30 rifle. Ranch life near Valley affords time for target shooting for McKee family". Mr. McKee, son of Cherokee Charlie who rode with the Dalton boys, is at his Silver Wolf ranch, 240 acres in the Boney Range of the Santa Monica Mountains behind Thousand Oaks. Photograph dated: July 23, 1959.
