Description
Photograph caption reads: "This sporting scene took place during "Allen Rich Day" on KCOP's telecast from the Los Angeles County Fair. The Valley Times television editor adjudged "Native Gander," being held by attendant, as winner in the big duck race, a fair feature. The other ducks (not shown) claimed a "fowl." Native Gander looks bored, Rich has a hungry look. He tried to interview the duck after the race but the duck was too smart for him, which wasn't hard. What some people won't do for publicity!". Photograph dated: Sept. 28, 1954.
