Shown with Sam the Ram, from left, are Dave Smukler of Northridge, former Temple U. all-American fullback who is Pop Warner Football conference commissioner and former all-pro star with the Philadelphia Eagles; Doyle Hanchera, fullback and co-captain of the Rams; Jim Stewart, Rams head coach, and Mike Burrows, quarterback and co-captain."
