Crab tree on ground at 608 North Painter Avenue Mrs. Gail Bushgens Mrs. Jane Bowler (looking at toppled tree) Beverly Boulevard between Whittier and Pico (towns), water two feet deep Mud at Whittier Boulevard and Norwalk Boulevard being cleared by road scraper. Supplementary material reads: "1951-12-30. Caption material for Harmon's weather pictures. Carab(?) tree at 608 N. Painter Avenue, Whittier, fell over of its own weight in soft ground -- 50 feet high -- pix show, from left: Mrs. Gail Bshgens of 546 N. Painter Avenue, and Mrs. Jane Bowler of 608 North Painter, the owner. Beverly Boulevard between the City of Whittier and town Pico low spot, street washed out pix is taken looking west water two feet deep. Mud at Whittier boulevard ad Norwalk boulevard being cleared away by a grader. Intersection was covered with mud to the depth of one foot".
