As part of Bullock's Downtown's 50th Anniversary celebration, St. Vincent's Court, located between Broadway and Hill Streets, is dedicated as an official historical landmark. Various agencies, including the Los Angeles Beautiful Committee, Downtown Business Men's Association, Bullock's and the Board of Public Works, were involved in the remodeling and dedication of the street. Members of those organizations are seated in the raised stage in the background. Part of the Bullock's sign is visible in the upper right corner. The presenter on the stage is seen standing next to the historic monument plaque on an easel. St. Vincent's Court is named in honor of St. Vincent's College, which once occupied the site of Bullock's Downtown from 1868-1887. Photo dated: March 4, 1957
